Infographics

Roles: Lead Designer.

Summary: I created an infographic for Canadian Tire Innovations (CTi) Tours. This infographic gives future CTi visitors a brief history of CTi, their goals, dress code and a map of the area (July, 2016).

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator.

Process: I wanted the infographic to be very easy to look at and follow. There was a lot of information to include, so I wanted to make it easy to digest and require as little reading as possible while still getting the key information across. The style was inspired by Material Design and the colours are similar to Canadian Tire's brand and social media brand colours (logo: red, green and white, social media: red, yellow, blue, green, black and grey).

Individual Project

Summary: I created an infographic for the Design Thinking created by IDEO and later adapted to fit the needs of Canadian Tire Innovations. Includes the Inspiration and Ideation phase (October 2016).

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator.

Process: At CTi (May-September 2016), IDEO visited Canadian Tire Innovations (CTi) and ran a design workshop for the executive and CTi employees. I was inspired to create an infographic on their process. I wanted the infographic to be easy to follow and look like a real whiteboard drawing. Many of the colours were inspired by the whiteboard markers and sticky notes we used at the CTi office.

Individual Project

Summary: I created an infographic that explains the potential dangers of privacy in games. This was created in conjunction with Seize the Data (January, 2016).

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator.

Process: I wanted the infographic to feel like a game. The colours were inspired by the Nintendo Entertainment System, and the font is pixelated to mimic an 8-bit game. The game controller cord acts as a leading line through the infographic, taking the viewer on a journey through the information.

Individual Project

Summary: An infographic that summarizes the event information for the Blimey Cow Patron Meet-up (Blimeycon). This event involved people from all over the USA and Canada and occurred in August, 2016 (created February, 2016). In addition to this infographic, I organized the registration and event details for Blimeycon using a Facebook Group and Google Drive.

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator.

Process: I wanted this infographic to be easy to read and follow. The road from the house to the Blimeycon logo acts as a leading line through the infographic, and the colours were inspired by the colours Blimey Cow (YouTube channel) uses in their videos. I also did another project involving this YouTube channel, you can find it here.
